From bomber (limited to 1,800) into snifter pours a dark, deep, rich red brown with a thick tan head and lots of lacing. Smells like autumn, during halftime of a great football game, slight drizzle, piles of leaves burning, pinon smoke billowing from the chiminea, friends hovering around the grill while the marinated brisket cooks. Smooth taste with a bite in the back, a woodsy nut aftertaste but a hoppy front. Exactly what I was hoping for—well done.

Poured a dark amber color from the bottle with aromas of caramel, malt, bourbon and light oak. Flavors were a mix of caramel toffee and bourbon. A solid barrel aged beer.

Split bottle pour of deep amber, medium to dark brown with khaki head. Nose is bourbon booze an caramel sweetness, light waxy notes. Flavor is malt forward with little to no hop, smooth bourbon and booze. Not a bad drink and fairly smooth for almost eight percent.

Red-brown pour with plenty of off-white head. Aroma of caramely malts and oak. Flavor is bourbon, oak, nice grassy hop profile.

P: Dark mahogany body with a dollop of cappuccino froth. S: Bourbon is definitely the star here. Toasted coconut, vanilla, and toasted oak. T/M: Roasted barley, bitter cocoa, oak soaked bourbon, light roast coffee and rolled oats. Prickly carbonation in a medium-full body. Finishes bitter and slightly chalky. O: The bourbon complements nicely and isn’t overpowering. A great way to celebrate a 5 year anniversary. Serving type: bottle

22 oz Bomber. The aroma hits you first with the wood & bourbon aroma followed by caramel & bread. The taste has a light body with resin & bourbon followed by a pretty flat finish. I feel that the aroma is much stronger than the taste. The is very little after taste & overall it is very well balanced. Not my favorite but a solid effort.

Had at the BGoA Winter tasting. Pours a reddish brown. Hazy. Caramel and melt on the nose. Nice aroma. Flavor is a bit flat. Nice beer.

22oz red wax tipped bottle served in a snifter A - Dark brown with reddish highlights. A strong pour provides a small of-white head that quickly settles into a razor thin cap. S - Sweet woody bourbon, vanilla, apples, sticky caramel/toffee. T - Matches the nose with sweet caramel/toffee, slightly charred, sugary bourbon wood with heavy apple fruit. There’s a strong barley note running right down the middle. Some peppery hops are there to combat the sweetness and grow in bitterness toward the finish. Familiar "Marshall" tannins start showing up added some nutty English dryness, with strawberries emerging toward the finish. The finish sets up semi-sweet with a quick dryness at the end with alcohol and charred tannins lingering. M - Chewy at times but overall a very soft feel, low carbonation, medium body, alcohol comes out as it warms. A sublime aroma with sweet and comforting bourbon laced malts that make you want to inhale slow and deep. The flavors match the sweetness but there’s a dryness that keeps things in check. Plenty of barrel there but nothing over the top. Very smooth and full flavored with some minor tannins and alcohol flaws showing up on the finish. Happy 5th Anniversary Marshall! Bottle. Pours a cloudy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma had a big vanilla and caramel note with sweet grains, sweet bread and just a bit of underlying booze. Flavor starts with bread and grain and grows in sweetness with notes of vanilla, caramel and just a hint of molasses.
