12oz bottle 7/20/13 (Brown Derby-Springfield)-46į in Hurricane Glass-Pours a cloudy orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and malt. Taste of hops, citrus, grapefruit, pine, and mlat. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down smooth.

Bottle. Roasted note for the malt, light grass and resin for the hops, with hints of sweat and wood. The head is frothy, off-white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear light brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic, heavily bitter and a bit sour. Palate is medium, watery, has a lively carbonation and finishes moderately dry. An extremely bitter American Pale Ale

Pours a darkened orange color, glowy at the edges. Quite hazy. Small white-ish head. Not much lacing. The aroma is a bit weaker than Iíd like. Itís pretty much just citrus/pine hops with some biscuity malt. Grapefruit rind, pine needles, a little grass. The taste is pretty dry. Thereís some toasty malt character, but itís mostly marked a somewhat bland hop bitterness. Thatís not to say itís a bad beer. Itís just well-worn territory and not exciting. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp. Normal carbonation. Thereís some body to the beer. I quite liked McNellieís Pub Ale, so this beer is a bit disappointing. Still, itís easy to drink and refreshing.

Pours an amber orange with about an inch of white head. There are some suspended solids mixed in the pour but nothing crazy. The aroma is citrusy and refreshing. The effervescence dances on the tongue before the crisp bitterness takes over. Fairly balanced and an easy drinker.

Bottle: Muddy caramel color with a finger of creamy khaki colored head. Nose is citrus and caramel, but a little stale. Drinks a little stale too. Citrus and florals seem faded and lightly bready malt. Me thinks this bottle be a bit past itís prime...

Amber colored beer with a short lived foamy off white head. Fresh sharp orange citrus hop nose. Malty sweetness with a strong hoppy flavor of orange peel and grapefruit juice. Long grapefruit rind finish. There is something flinty in here. Pretty tasty beer.

A - Pours a turbid amber orange with a firm off-white head that creates solid lacing. S - Fresh pungent hops, pine, floral, and grapefruit. You donít even have to put your nose down to it. T - Aggressive pine and grapefruit, very raw and fresh. Sweet grainy and caramel malt in the background. The hops turn to strong grapefruit pith but also has a clean citrus infused herb character and finishes quite dry. M - Medium body, medium carbonation, dry on the finish. The hops are the highlight here. Very bright and pungent flavors with a nice malt accent underneath. Itís refreshing, delicious and gives you a good hop fix. Get it while itís fresh! Gorgeous appearance and terrific nose set the stage from another great brew from Marshall. Taste continues with a great combination of hops and citrus. Easy to drink--almost too easy. One of the best Pales Iíve ever had, I wish this was a year-round beer.

Tap....amber with a white head. Nose is rich malts, bitter citrusy hops, and dough. Nice palate, heavy bitter/citrus note back with caramel and dough.
