Flavor is nice caramel malt base balancing the hops in this one. A little grass and spiciness to go along with the pine and citrus.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 OKplus (379) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 13, 2013
A - Pours a turbid amber orange with a firm off-white head that creates solid lacing.
S - Fresh pungent hops, pine, floral, and grapefruit. You don’t even have to put your nose down to it.
T - Aggressive pine and grapefruit, very raw and fresh. Sweet grainy and caramel malt in the background. The hops turn to strong grapefruit pith but also has a clean citrus infused herb character and finishes quite dry.
M - Medium body, medium carbonation, dry on the finish.
The hops are the highlight here. Very bright and pungent flavors with a nice malt accent underneath. It’s refreshing, delicious and gives you a good hop fix. Get it while it’s fresh!

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Stevesie (203) - - JAN 6, 2013
Gorgeous appearance and terrific nose set the stage from another great brew from Marshall. Taste continues with a great combination of hops and citrus. Easy to drink--almost too easy. One of the best Pales I’ve ever had, I wish this was a year-round beer.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 RABinVA (692) - Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA - SEP 14, 2012
bottle. pours surprisingly non-pale. kind of a hazy amber with a bit of white head that doesn’t leave much lacing. The aroma is the star here. big tropical/citrus notes that blend into a bit of bubblegum on the tongue. All around not bad, not definitely not a one-way ticket to Flavorville.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma has a good bit of citrus fruit, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is more malt heavy. I get a lot of bread and toffee, as well as some citrus and grass from the hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 kdm1984 (434) - Missouri, USA - JUN 16, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2012 Sampled several from this new brewery at an event, and I am impressed! Go Tulsa! This APA is piney and sweet on the nose, yet lighter-bodied with a hoppy, balanced flavor and aftertaste. Worth a try for sure. SECOND TASTING: Not changing the rating - merely adding details. Pours to a small head with good lacing; orange-gold. Pineyness that I talked about is definitely still there - piney citrus, grapefruit aroma with caramel malts. Lighter body indeed helps the balance here, and the hoppy aftertaste is nice. Solid carbonation and mouthfeel. There are lots of APAs and IPAs with these characteristics, true, but the balance here is what makes it worthwhile. THIRD TASTING: Aroma stands out much more this time - terrific! Great grapefruit and citrus presence with floral and caramel malt undertones. Once again, the head is a little small, but lacing is quite good. Flavor: great malt backbone with fresh grapefruit and good hops kick. Still very well-balanced.
