4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was well done. Malty sweetness and hops that leave you guessing about what is to come. Very dark, in fact, I couldn’t see through it with a quickly dissipating head. A big mix of flavor with sticky sweetness and burnt malts, some caramel essence and big hops throughout. Syrupy palate. Nicely done.

22oz Bomber. Tasted on 10/24/14. Beer from Moore Liquor. Pours to deep black color with a light tan head. Aroma has a lot of hops with an earthy more to it. The taste was great with the hops upfront & a great malt balance that worked well. Overall a very nice black IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour thanks to Travlr. Deep brown pour with a small head. The nose is pretty mellow. More malt-forward than expected. Coffee cake and pain au chocolate. Some spruce tree. Taste is hoppier than suggested in the aroma. Spruce and orange peel. Ashy roasted grains. Slightly acidic and hot on the finish. Substantial, oily. Solid.

Cool beer - great name and bottle and excellent black ipa. Dark brown pour. Great mix of pine and coffee in the nose. Taste was well balanced and interesting parts of pine, lemon, cocoa, and coffee. High carbonation and full bodied. Worth a try for sure!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Picked up a bottle in Talequah Oklahoma. Pours dark brown with a thick very creamy tan head. Almost looks like nitro. Aroma is hoppy with some roastiness. Flavor tastes like a good ipa with some roast instead of caramel. I don't generally like the style but this one works pretty well. Medium bodied and finishes dry.

Bottle; Pour is murky brown with a very nice, fine bubbled, two finger khaki head into this glass. It retains well here, with fine cobwebs present. The nose is nice as well ; roasted coffee bean, chocolate malts, and piney hops are present as you’d expect. It works better than some, I believe. I found the flavor profile to be slightly more subdued than I’d like. Bittering pine initial, roasted coffee and chocolate moving forward, with modest caramel rounding it out. A lingering bittering rounds it out - its just lacking heft in the center.
