3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sample at Great Arkansas beer festival. This one is dank, sweaty, earthy with a bittersweet finish. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Grandad’s. Pours a solid amber with a foamy head that dissipates fairly fast. Decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is predominately spruce and pine, with just a touch of malt. Not surprisingly, that’s exactly how it tastes. The blend of hops makes it reasonably interesting. Nice bitterness. Medium mouth. There’s not a lot of carbonation, so the aftertaste hangs on the tongue well. This is my second time to try this one, and it really reminds me of an IPL like Widmer Bros. Hopside Down. This isn’t spectacular, but just a solid brew that always hits the spot.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours red-brown with a lively medium head. Not a strong aroma. This is a straight-forward but flavorful hoppy red ale, with a nice interplay between the bright hop character and a malty sweetness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to . Pours a deep red, almost looks like blood, with a small foamy head that fades to a thick ring and leave nice webbing. Love the appearance. Aroma is fairly hoppy with lots of grass, citrus, and pine. Some light caramel malt too. Taste has strong pine and citrus, moderately bitter. Grainy and bready finish with lingering pine hops. A little thin in the body. This could probably be called an Amber IPA. Pretty nice.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Red pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some red malt as some earth. The flavor is more of the same. Tastes like your classic American red ale with some grass and earth from the hops. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Aroma of grass, orange zest and hops. Taste has an overall watery, washed out profile that’s a bit nutty, citric and hoppy. Weak to no aftertaste. Kinda bland, honestly. 6.5% alcohol.

On tap at McNellie’s OKC. Pours a clear deep red with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has a nice hop note with a bit of pine and crisp grass backed by a bread note. Flavor has a surprisingly hoppy note with crisp grass throughout supported by a nice light bread note.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a thin tan head. Nose is floral hops, citrus fruit, a faint ashy smokiness that strengthens at the end. Bitter and sweet in equal measure, with the bitterness lasting. Tastes around 40? IBUS. Chalky mouthfeel. Ash and bitterness stays on the tongue. I want to say that the ash is not offputting. The astringency of most amber ales is minimally present, also not offputting. I enjoy this.
