Clear dark brown colour allmost black with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, cold coffee. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, burnt malt, salty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110915]

Black coloured with a medium sized creamy beige head.
Roasted aroma of hay and dark chocolate.
Roasted flavour of hay, dark chocolate and berries with burnt notes.
Roasted finish.

From tap at bjergtrolden. Pours dark brwn to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, caramelish and breadish. Dark liqourice and bitter flavoured. No sweetness. Dry, bitter and almost salty liqourice. Dark roasted malty, bitter, roasted and dry bitter finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Nitro. Fantastic rich roasted aroma. Flavors on this were incredible, with classic stout creaminess, nice nutty flavors, and rich deep roastiness, with coffee and chocolate. All wrapped up in a supremely drinkable package. Great. Entered from my mobile device.

En fût. Verre de 16 oz dégusté chez Novare Res Bier Café (Portland, ME). Arôme: Légère odeur de café. Apparence: La couleur est noire opaque. Présence d’un moyen col beige crémeux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de café avec une pointe de chocolat. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture crémeuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement chocolaté. (Rating #2717)
