Nitro at MW then again over at TTR. Pours a nice creamy deep brown not quite black with a lingering gray-tan head. Aroma is nutty, earth, leafy, crackery and slight cobwebby dust- ok roast and light on the chocolate. Flavor is a bit more chocolate malts, roast, coffee, earth, leather, mineral and light sea-foam- clean and very dry almost watery finish- ok.

(Draft (nitro) @ Three Tides) Pours very dark brown with some lighter brown highlights. Two fingers of creamy-looking, level tan head. Reproduces the Guinness look pretty well. Head is well-retained and produces nice well-defined rings and sheets of lacing. Weakish, kind of wooden aroma of coffee and unsweetened chocolate along with something slightly vegetal. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth, medium heft and finishes a little dry. Flavor is coffeeish and bitter but not much chocolate or roast. Has an organic/vegetal quality that is almost sulfurous. Hoppy burps and lingering bitter aftertaste. I get the feeling the nitro is numbing some of the flavor out of this. Kind of a disappointment.

Sample and then a full glass @ Three Tides on Nitro. Pours black with a 1 finger tan head. Wow what a nose, big kick with coffee and perhaps a bit of peatyness. Taste is coffee, sweet and a fantastically great stout. Gotta say that the nose and finish and overall quality of this stout makes me smile.
