Nov, 2003: Pasteurised bottled. A damp corpse. Nothing much happening here. I’m not a fan of Marston. A little fizz. A little pasteurised hops. Why bother? [1.8]
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Spiesy (2338) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - JUL 20, 2004
Bottled.
Pours a bright ginger brown colour, super clear and clean looking with a generous fine off-white head. Love bitter aroma, simple but fresh. Clean bitter flavour is easy to drink and goes down without any fuss.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 RichardGretton (4015) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2004
Dark bitter with a carmel dry aroma and flavour. Overall a solid English bitter.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 nigos (623) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2004
Crisp, clean hoppy nose with a hint of rust. Deep, amber hue with a fast disappating head. Usual Marstons basic crisp enjoyable but bland taste with a short bitter finish. Very standard and uninterestering.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rauchbier (3394) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - SEP 24, 2003
Bottled. Amber bronze colour, good white lasting collar of foam and moderate condition. Some caramel and hop resin aromas, thin and metallic malt in the mouth and some hop bitterness developing in the finish. Uneventful.

Smooth, without much flavour. Slightly bitter, and very average.
