Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, stable white foamy layer, mild sweetish malty-fruity nose, supported by a light hoppy background; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour; slightly increasing bitterness in the fruity finish, that shows traces of dark malt in the aftertaste.Regarding the low alcohol, a fine beer...

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2012 RB says this is my 100th from England. Bottle, clear glass, by 30APR13. A beautiful gradient tawny body with a frothy beige head. Taste is essentially dry, some caramel with light toasted grains and earth, light but defining bitterness. Light-medium body. Clean, smooth, simple, and light enough in flavor to invite a few additional pints.

500ml bottle. Clear copper colour with small, macropore to frothy, collapsing, white head. Minimally toasty caramel malty aroma. Taste is caramel malty, minimally grainy with a touch of citrus, minimally dry hop note.

AKSalmon (70) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2012
500ml bottle 3.8% alc. Poured into an English pint glass and the strong hops aroma hit hard. The appearance is cloudy honey with a small head that quickly disappeared. The flavour is not what I expected. I expected with the strong hops a copper tast but to my surprise it has the earthy/grassy flavor and not extremely bitter as I thought it would. It flows across the palate with an ample amount of carbonation. Overall a very well ballanced bitter beer.

50 cl clear botttle. Pours clear orange with a small white head. Aroma is light hoppy and toasted malty. Rather malt driven flavour, light toasted, mild herbal bitterness. Medium dry and toasted malty finish.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a mid-sized off-white foamy head. Buttery cara-malty aroma with nutty and very subtle fruity notes, accompanied by traces of sulphur. Slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty and slightly nutty taste with restrained fruity flavours; dry and slightly hop bitter finish with traces of metal. 26.V.12

ALLOVATE (2142) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - MAY 20, 2012
At just on cool, into a Marston’s pint. Hazy orange-amber with a thin and quickly depleting off-white head. Aroma of kelp, brine and mineral-like liquor, straw and damp hay bales, butterscotch and bready yeast. Bland, level, bready palate that is dominated by a salty caramel flavour. Light floral note in back before a strange, sharp, raspy swallow. Sits heavy in the stomach. 3.8% and I’m bloated after one pint. A ’No’ from me! (50cL, BB 30/05/12, Cellarbrations Kinross)
