Bottle at YHA Grasmere. Dull amber with moderate cream hesd and a light fizz. Bland caramel throughout. Boring and too sweet. Mild grassy bitterness fails to redeem. This is a bit crappy.

Bottle BB 30 April 2015. Amber body, some visible carbonation. Barely there off white head that instantly dissipates. Nose is red fruit, alcohol, stale hops, candy and caramel. Sweetish with a bitter finish. Pretty poor, but got from B&M for £1.09 or so.

A mid copper orange coloured beer with a weak off white head. A light, but balanced aroma, mild biscuity malt and a slight, lemony, hop aroma. Dry mouthfeel. There is a strange harsh, pithy bitterness to start off the taste. This soon disappears to be replaced by a dry, cereal, biscuity malt flavour, alongside a bitter, citrusy hop flavour. The finish is a bit lacking after the initial bitter hit.

Good colour. In general a bit thin and watery aftertaste let’s it down. Bread, hay, caramel.

I was really looking forward to that one but got a bit disapoointed as it did not develop that aromas and deep taste I would like to see from a bitter. Beside this, that beer is a bit sweetish and more malt dominated. Quite a good one at all but not exactly something I would call rocket science.

Appearance: Clear copper/amber with finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Burton snatch, biscuit/bread, slight floral and fruitiness, peppery. Taste: Low sweetness, medium bitterness and low/medium sourness. Palate: Thin coarse texture, light body, average/prickly carbonation, abrupt biscuity peppery finish. Comments: Tasty and glass ring lace.

Bottle. This is really bad bitter. Its basically bottled bread. Not worth the coin.
