Flowers & lemons - a bit weak in flavour & alcohol but pleasant enough. Wouldn't buy again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden with a fine white head. Grassy and herby hop nose with just a hint of citrus. Lightly fruity and grainy body overlaid by more grassy and grapefruit hops with a sharp herbal bitter edge.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Small white head, fed by very fine carbonation in pale foxy-orange beer; Leafy, with the unmistakable sulphury Marston’ yeast stamp, fresh (sulphury) yeast and bread, sewer water (in a VERY mild way). Very British nose. Mild-bitter sulphury (very remarkably so), with then straw & grainy-like faint sweetness following, but reverting to true UK hoppy bitterness in the finish. Light body, feels more carbonated than it looks. Remarkable! I’ve never been a great fan of Marston’s (cask) ales, but this bottled boys’ beer is actually quite to my liking. Pity about the clear glass abomination.

Clear golden pour with a frothy white head and clinging lace. Pleasant citrus malt aroma. Nice bitter crisp texture. Citrus hop flavour. Little thin but an enjoyable ale.
