Malt aroma. Copper golden coloured fruity and a little sour. Some bitterness in a crisp full malt finish.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ungstrup (26216) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2007
Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A deep red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with quite a lot of diacethyl combined with light notes of berries. The flavor is swet with notes of berries - especially cowberries and raspberries combined with a diacethyl fruityness - especially with notes of peaches, but also with notes of toffee, and hops that kick in late with a light bitterness.

Cask Conditioned at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen Hazy amber color. Malty aroma and flavor, a bit fruity too. Good body; strong bitterness. Maybe there is a light infection present. Solid.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Fruity sweet malts, hints of toastiness and a woody flavour. Ok but I didnt find this particularly drinkable.

Cask conditioned at The Hollybush, Alcester Warks. Red amber with white head. Dark and flavourful bitter, quite old fashioned these days but certainly easily drinkable. Deeper roasted crystal malts but also a sweeter light roasted note in there too. A fairly standard Marstons hop finish, didn’t get the Marstons ’snatch’ in this one. I liked it.
