Bottle. Golden and clear.Claims that it is full bodied on the label but it certainly isn’t.Thin with a trace of maltness. Like the England cricket team it fails to live up to expectations.

Bottle. Amber with an off white head. Aromas are spiced oranges with dusty, prickly notes. Bitter green woody hops. Flavours are sweet and sour oranges with lots of peppery and grapefruit pith bitterness. Has the usual Marstons caramel lingering. Not too bad.

Typical dead boiled sweet aroma with hints of caramel, peardroppy fruit, wood, sulphur, and continental hops. Grassy sweetness, biscuit, cardboard and caramel. Quite full at 3.8%. A trace of orange fruitiness in there, but not nearly enough. Coloured water with an empty hop bitterness. Dead, but not nasty.

Bottle. Aroma was bitter, malt, fruit and oranges. Zesty. Copper orange in colour with a thin head. Bitter flavour malt, also zest and citrus. A little tinny but overall the beer has a bitter sharpness to it which serves up to be refreshing.

50cl bottle from Asda, Woodley. Amber with a thick white head; citrus and malt aroma with some Marston’s sulphur; taste is dominated by bitter hops but with an underlying caramel sweetness. Not a very subtle beer.

Looks good, bronze/gold, good long lasting white head. Light nose, malt dominated, quite sweet with a fairly hoppy finish. Good stuff for a session.
