COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Old Empire is brewed using Optic malt, a subtle and paler grain that will allow other flavours to come through on the palate. Goldings and Fuggles hops are added to this brew, which is then late hopped with the American Cascade variety for extra hop strength.

Light yellow beer with ok head and leaves nice lacing. Scent resembles more bitter than IPA, more sweet than hoppy, not good thing for my IPA. Strange IPA, at first its a bit lager-like buttery, then some bitterness but very little. I get the same effect in my mouth after drinking some gray tea... A little disappointment.

Clear and golden. It says India Pale Ale on the bottle but you could not tell that from the aroma. Just the slightest hop aroma. Taste has a bit of sweet malts and bitterness but that’s it. Drinkable though.

oa english IPA tradicional. Cor vermelho escura, com baixa formacao de espuma e aroma cítrico de lúpulo. No paladar, corpo médio, com bom equilíbrio entre o malte e o amargor do lúpulo. Final seco e amargo. Boa cerva. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a beautiful hazy orange with a thin layer of white foam that laces nicely. Nose is subdued with mellow sweetness acconpanied by a fresh citrus note. Hops and grass are also found. Taste is quite bitter with with some underlyibg maltiness. Has a long bitter finish. Nice old classic style IPA.

Ipa? Americans know how to do it. Low gravity Brits know how to do it. Sweet almost light syrup. Light hops. Get a lower gravity ipa or get a real American ipa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Tesco; I’m having a cheap Sunday afternoon beer ticking odyssey £10 for 6 bottles, I’m not afraid to drain pour if I don’t like. Clear amber pour with big foam white head, malt aroma, tastes a bit skunky damn clear bottles, when will brewers learn! A few mouthful’s.

Bottled. Pours clear golden in color with a small whitish head. Grassy and slightly bitter notes in aroma. Some notes of old leather and sweat as well. Bitter in taste as well. Not that tasty on the whole. Felt a bit unbalanced with the same bitterness in aftertaste.
