2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 dogbomb (654) - ENGLAND - APR 5, 2013
Cask. Quite light haze gold. Light lemon bathed in malt on the nose. Dry grass. Quite malt heavy in he mouth, with a lot of dry grassy flavours. Straw. Some bitter dried fruit. Tangerine. Orange. Lemon. Decent, but doesn't hit as fresh as I'd like.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorgeLee (770) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2012
Cask in the Lamplighter, Jersey. A flat looking orangey coloured beer with no head. Quite strongly alcoholic, sweet boozy malt, some hop but perhaps not enough to really cut through the 5.7%. Not unpleasant, a bit of reminder of old school English IPA styles before the Americans showed that actually you really can never put too any hops in this style.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 17, 2012
On cask at The Standing Order. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of alcohol, lemon, grass, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Mildly bitter with a long alcohol hum. OK.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tombyars (1210) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 10, 2012
Tasted this at the Paisley Beer Festival in April 2005. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong sulphrous aroma present. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Robust pale malt base gives a strong digestive biscuit base with sweet golden syrup and caramel notes. Strong hop resins give a dry spruce note to the dusty intense aftertaste and jars obviously with the malt. Finish is robust and malty with a warming mead like afterglow in the throat, along with dry oak cask notes. A decent ESB and well recommended.
