A Mes rate:
Sweet wine like aroma. Wonderful mahogany appearance with a reasonably well behaved head. Sweet sugary flavour that is not particularly balanced or refined. Alcohol is all too apparent. Strange full yet thin palate that ends up on the thin side. Sweet and cloying finish. Not too impressive.

Bottle.
Pours a cola / dark ruby color, with a generous, beige bubbly head.
Dryish malty aroma, with a hint of hops and barnyardiness. Seemed faintly metallic as well, but perhaps I was hallucinating.
Semisweet, fruity malt and alcohol flavor. Sweet alcohol and caramel finish with a slightly bitter hoppy aftertaste.
Very smooth and well balanced. Medium body. Surprisingly delicious.

Another beer that I used to drink regularly when living in Worcester friends in my local often used to ask for a Pedirog basically half and half of Pedigree and Owd Roger I think this was owing to the strength of drinking a whole pint of the Owd Roger.
A very dark red coloured ale nice toffee sweetness, very full bodied but the alcohol just lingers a tad too much though to be a classic of it’s style.

Wow this hurts your head cos you don’t realise the percentage, the taste is sweet but expected because of the high alcohol, very dark and fruity, a really great strong ale.

Cask @ Charlie’s Bar. Dark red colour. Malty aroma with hints of molasses and some fruitiness. Flavor is very malty and hints of caramel and dark fruits. The alcohol leaves you with a warming feeling. The finish is a little sweet.

(Cask, The Wharf, Aalborg) - Deep dark red colour. Malty, roasty molasses nose. The taste is warming, and packed with notes of caramel, chocolate, plums and alcohol, leading into a suprisingly dry aftertaste.

Cask. Good head and sits nicely in the glass. Flavour starts well, with a lot of spicy fruit, but is a little too soupy, and lingers with a sharp and cloying alcohol on the back of the tongue. Classic good start, bad finish.
