17 cl bottle vintage 1977 @ vPBF. Thanks Pat!
Aroma has some raisins, cardboard and some moldy cellar. Flavour has some metal, moldy cellar, hints of raisins and sugar. Feels like most of the flavour bouquet is gone.

500ml bottle in Bow, London. Dark, cola coloured, no head retained. Aroma of liquorice primarily, and dried fruit. Flavour sourish cola at first, then developing to big, warm sweet malt, dried fruit, alcohol pepper. Aftertaste slightly sticky, fig syrup, burntness. A decent drop, though not my favourite at this strength.

Very subtle aroma. Dark brush and mildly fizzy. Thick caramel saying with a sticky throaty experience. Quite gorgeous. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2012 Bottled, from Rhythm & Booze, Barton-upon-Humber. Deep ruy red, fluffy but shortlived off white head, gentle condition. Sweet malt aromas with suggestions of cola and a sticky background melanoidin note, sweet and fruity in the mouth with a very chalky bitterness and some earthiness, gentle bitterness initially in the finish but a sticky sweetness takes over and lingers longest laced with some peppery spiciness and a hint of retronasal alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2005 (Bottled) Nice, dark reddish brown color with very small, quite tight, beige head. Mild, sweetish, roasted-malty aroma with hints of syrup, licorice and coffee. Sweet and malty, caramely and chocolatey flavor with a sweet, toffeeish and slightly bitter finish. Sugary, oily, medium-bodied, slightly warming palate with quite high but soft carbonation. The almost cloying sweetness pretty much ruins this strong ale, but at least it’s slightly more bearable when drank straight from the fridge - as the bottle suggests.

Another beer that I used to drink regularly when living in Worcester friends in my local often used to ask for a Pedirog basically half and half of Pedigree and Owd Roger I think this was owing to the strength of drinking a whole pint of the Owd Roger. A very dark red coloured ale nice toffee sweetness, very full bodied but the alcohol just lingers a tad too much though to be a classic of it’s style.

A Mes rate: Sweet wine like aroma. Wonderful mahogany appearance with a reasonably well behaved head. Sweet sugary flavour that is not particularly balanced or refined. Alcohol is all too apparent. Strange full yet thin palate that ends up on the thin side. Sweet and cloying finish. Not too impressive.
