A light dark is how I can best describe this stout. The palate holds the malty flavours. Mine was served out of the fridge but I expect the licorice and milk chocolates hues to develop as it warms. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Típica Stout inglesa, pouco corpo, percepçăo intensa de maltes, principalmente os escuros, lupulagem pouco perceptível, leve e carbonatada, muito agradável.

Black pour. Small tan head that sticks around for a little while. Lacing left behind. A chocolate and slight roast aroma. Not much else. Taste is a roasty bite. A little carbonic. Dry. Not bad, but there are definitely better out there.

The oyster shell is tastable and really interesting but ultimately body is a little too thin.... Coffee, slight cacao nibs, oyster shells. The thin body does make it more drinkable..glad I had it but probably won’t have again

Full black with nice brown head. Aroma of caramel and chocolate. The taste is dark chocolate. It’s a slightly creamy, easy drinking light stout.

(Bottle): Pours a jet black with a medium tan head. Not much aroma but some coffee and liquorice comes through. Taste is some roasted malts with very faint hints of coffee and chocolate. Has quite a metallic aftertaste and watery mouthfeel. It’s acceptable but barely.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2013 Head: coffee, medium-sized, fluffy, fast diminishing. Colour: black (technically really dark red). Aroma: wine, vinegar. Carbonation almost flat. Taste: sweetish, roasted bread, slightly acidic with a faint bitter/roasted finish. Body is thin. Does not feel dry as a dry stout is supposed to be. UPDATE: Oops. The low abv made me think it’s a dry stout, when it’s not.

500ml bottle. Has more of a Black Ale thing going on. Smooth watery black malt body. Sublime and straightforward, probably would be good with some shellfish. Mellow, molasses. Could have used some hops, some bite, some boom!, but the the mellowness suits it after awhile. Sandy dry notes actually come out after awhile, I suppose this one should be served warmer than refrigerator temp. Pretty decent, better than some of my local Stouts.
