2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a very deep brown, perhaps its black, with a thin tan head. Aroma doesn’t really jump out at you. I get toffee, a little coffee, a little bit of licorice, and raisin. The taste at first impression really has a metallic quality to it. Moving on, it has a roasted maltiness overall, bready, mild toffee, and slight qualities of licorice. Aftertaste is very bready. Light in body, with a very thin texture, and lacking in carbonation. I am not a fan of this one.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
If I’d bought this as a dark ale I might have enjoyed it a little more - as a ’Stout’ beer it was a let down. Watery, insubstantial, low on flavour. Pretty much the worst stout about?
