2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
First impression is that this is bland. Aroma is faint, but appearance is pretty good, amber color with decent foamy head. Taste is hops and light malt. Finish is dry and abrupt.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml Bottle, just out of date when poured into a UK pint sleeve on 5 Apr 2013.
Looked OK, amber body with a fast disappearing head.
The nose was malty with off/sour-fruit notes.
The taste is semi-sweet, malty with fruits, not so sour as the aroma suggested. Caramel flavours give the beer its base taste, they overshaddow any other characters and the beer becomes just a caramel, malty brew. The beer is too one dimensional in my opinion.
OK but not as good as the old rich, creamy Pedigree I remember from my youth.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Poured medium orange with a short-ish lived off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet bready notes and honey with grassy hops and a little hay around.. pleasant enough. The flavor found tangy and bitter grass and herbal notes over bread, honey, and a little corn.. finished quick, crisp, and tangy. Lighter-bodied and a tad on the sharp side on the palate.. prickly carbonation.. drinkable and OK for the style, but I donít need another.
