Cask at the Brown Hare, Penwortham. Pours clear gold, thick foamy head. Gentle malt aromas. Taste brings a light chalky note, light hop bitterness. But watery on the finish, but ok.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2014 An amber ale with a white head. A touch of citrus with biscuit and caramel notes. This might not be the most exciting ale in the world, but it’s a solid easy drinking bitter.

This once mighty beer has been reduced to a ordinary uninspiring ale of no distinction, the beer did always suffer in it’s hey day from being put on to soon
in those leaving it to settle for 2 weeks in the cellar at least got rid of just about all of the sulphor ,not sure if that matters to day
formerly a five star beer

Cask at a Marston’s. Lovely fresh aroma, floral and fruit. Lovely amber color with dense head. Very smooth in the mouth, very oily. Taste is subtle, slight citrus sourness, lemon and grapefruit, mild but nice.
