2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
When you head into a bar with one hand-pull on, and it is this, you accept it. It looks good, but the faint hoppy aroma and watery taste make it one to avoid if you DO have a choice.

On tap @ the Old Post Office, Shrewsbury. Poursdark amber with a decent head. The nose is of apples and caramel. The taste is of caramel shortbread with apple finish. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a dry fairly refreshing finish. Overall, a decent ale.

2.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A good beer to have with curry, light malt taste with a slightly lemon aftertaste. At 5% it doesn’t taste this strong so be warned!

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the Khyber. Weak as water. Light caramel pour with a nice white head. Great for a session beer but way too thin otherwise. Weak medium malty notes. Bit of watery chocolate. Cardamon. Dry spice. Fainty sweet. More bitter than sweet but more watery than bitter. Nice taste but such a very inconsequential beer.

Not a fan overall. Pleasant strong malty taste initially, but aftertaste is bitter and kind of oily. Bottle rather than cask.
