Bottle. Quid a go, from Morrisons. Clear, light amber colour. Ring of off white head. Nose has wet cardboard. Grubby coins. Hint of spicy malt. Taste is light, metallic bitter. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation. Thin, watery, bitter finish. Really quite poor.

A bottle from Jasonís near NCCU in Muzha, drunk at home. Aroma: floral, very fresh. Appearance; clear, ruby red, head soon dissipates. Palate: thin and light, soft carbonation, but long and astringent finish. Taste: lightly bitter. I could very happily work my way through several of these.

Not the best, dark wood colour, off white head, more chemical smell than beer, sharp bitter tang, very dry, will avoid

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from a bottle. Not much different from the regular Pedigree. Still plenty of sweet malts with hints of toffee and apple. Earthy English hops give a nice bitter finish. Perhaps very slightly more vanilla from the oak barrels, giving a nice warmth to the sweet taste of this classic.

Copper colour with an off-white head. Lots of lacing in the glass. Malty aroma and the taste has plenty of malts with notes of toffee, nuts and apples with hints of (slightly strangely) bubblegum. Fruity, bitter finish. A very nice, interesting bitter with plenty of character and a good, hoppy bitterness. A great ale.

Bottiglia. Color ambrato con schiuma bianca di grana media. Bella da vedere, ma purtroppo finisce li. Al naso leggera frutta e latta. Al palato inizio legnoso ma poi completamente senza corpo e sapore, annacquata.

500ml bottle: Pours a clear light amber with a persistent white head. Slight caramel, some fruit and breadiness on the nose. Quite sweet, slightly woody from the maturation. Medium bitterness, medium light carbonation and medium body. Overall pleasant but nothing special.

Served in a snifter from a 500ml bottle. Pours a clear copper amber with an off-white diminishing head. Aroma is malt, notes of caramel and earth. Taste is very balanced with malty and caramel notes. Light body with soft carbonation and clean finish. Very smooth and easy to drink. Excellent and enjoyable ale. More of a session ale than bitter though but is worth getting more!

Good head, lively condition. Enjoyable sweetness at first balanced by that malty dryness. Moreish. A lot better out of a bottle than Bass and not that much dearer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Appearance: clear pale to medium amber with one finger of loose ivory head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, no lacing. (2/5) Aroma: biscuity caramel and toffee, fruity esters, grassy and earthy. (5/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (5/10) Palate: medium body tending to watery, moderate to low carbonation, off-dry mildly bitter finish. (3/5)
Not much to say about this: biscuity malt leads the way, finishing with a mild earthy bitter. A very typical pub pint. (10/20)
