It tastes and looks the same as regular pedigree, if not a little sweeter from the extra alcohol. As it’s bottled and not draught there’s a lot more carbonation. alright.

Sept 2007: from BA. Englands cricket team beat India today to win the series of one day internationals. To celebrate I drank this beer, which was brewed in support of the afore mentioned cricket team. The bottle was given to me after a party. I had commented on its finer points to the host and as there were a couple left over at the end, he palmed me this one. Best before 31st October 2007, drank 8th Sept 2007. Poured into a Corsendonk tulip. A good healthy colour, light brick red. The head which was off white soon left the glass leaving a collar and a central wispy covering. The aroma was of hops, yeast and barley, there was a splattering of ripe ’fruits of the forest’ too. The taste was half way between a good quality English Bitter and a fine Pale Ale. Bitter, but without any nastiness, full bodied without being overpowering, a well balanced beer. Very drinkable, this one was taken with a soft French cheese from Burgundy (Pie d’ Angloys) and salted biscuits, which is why the head legged it so quickly.

small creamy off white head. fair lacing. clear thin amber body. aroma: moderate malty, roasted, strong coffee. if and ff: light bitter and salty; average duration. Palate: light body, watery texture, lively carbonation and chalky and light astringent finish. It reminded me of a Rauchbier, both in taste and aroma; exotic taste. 110s

Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml white glazed.Copper with slight white head. Carbonated beer leaving very little head and a dull cardboard note, however there i a sulphery body giving a little nod towards the old classic Pedigree and a little dry sharpness. Overall it remains just a little too dull, but drinkable.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a lightly head. The aroma is toffee, hopped and dry and the flavour is malty, very dry and has a weak barley wine quality about it. Overall an average strong English beer.

Copper coloured beer with a thin white head, aroma is faintly sweet and fruity and the taste is sweet first with a malty finish.

Copper/gold colour, thin patchy head, with a few bubbles rising. Citrus fruit dominates the nose. Sweet malty flavours on the palate, but a harsh hoppy acidity creeps in and knocks the whole off balance. The finish is long but not that pleasant.

Bottle 500ml. Pours copper coloured with a thin tan head. The aroma is pretty ordinary with malts and yeast coming through. Flavour wise, it was below average, with boring malts with the alcohol sitting uncomfortably on top. Looks to me as if it’s an attempt to cash in on their sponsorship of the English cricket team. I trust this will be a short lived ale
