1.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2012
Part of a 4 pack, brown bottle, 275ml, best before Sept 2007, drank 1st Feb 2007. Poured into a Corsendonk tulip glass.
Premium English Bitter my arse!
Looks OK, bright, lively and clean, a golden, light amber colour. The white head, did a runner to the side of the glass before I had a sip.
Smelled of vanilla and banana’s, if I hadn’t known better, I would have said it was a hefe wiessbier from Bavaria. It shouldn’t have smelt like that if they are calling it an English Bitter.
The taste isn’t awful, there just isn’t any taste.
Mouthfeel, not there, again not awful, just not any to review and talk about.
Low carb beer it may well be, flavoursome beer it is not. Great that a brewer should attempt such a beer, but I am sorry to say, I will not be having another. I will just have to stay fat and happy.

4.7% golden with a thin head, sweet malt aroma, sweet taste (from a UK perspective it is more lager than beer) and it is over carbonated.

Pours amber with white head. nice aroma of caramel. taste is very poor, overly carbonated, thin, strange artificial flavour. cant recommend this (even for low carb dieters).

Dark Amber colour. with a thick white head. A bad thick hay malt aroma with soap. Watery with a dry feel. Bitter and sharp sour taste. Tastes like you mixed 20 beers together. awful.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2011
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear, dark gold with a mild, white head. Aroma holds some cereal and light corn. Nice flavor, some dry cereal, light grains, faint caramel, faint wood. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish, some modest sugar and cereal. Very drinkable, light, not bad.

Bottled A golden coloured beer with no head. A fairly nasty sulphuric tinny aroma. Better in the mouth with some nettly bitter hops and a hint of spice. A tiny amount of lemon. Reasonably drinkable.
