500ml Bottle. This pours a clear amber with a medium white head that lasts the distance. Its aroma is yeast, and citrus. its taste is citrusy with hints of caramel and a slightly smokey dry bitter finish that you get with Belgian yeasts. And thats a key point missed by the naming of this beer. Its a BELGAIN SAISON.. and quite frankly the best Belgian Saison Ive tasted so far outside of Belgium!

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear golden colour with a foamy white head. Malty aroma, with some wheat. Grassy hop flavours, with some tropical and citrus fruit. Finish is dry.

as pale orange coloured beer with a frothy but weak white head. A malty aroma, but fruity, there's an element of Turkish delight, along with caramel, then a more zesty fruit aroma. Dry mouthfeel. The taste follows on from the aroma, malt led, with a candy-like flavour, again Turkish delight and caramel, then a tart, slightly grassy hop flavour, pithy citrus fruit and a hint of vinous white wine, which all adds up to a refreshing finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Tesco. Second of the Marston revisionist I’ve tried, and I’m even more impressed with this one. Light amber, not much aroma. Lightly bittered, gentle carbonation. Floral honey, apricot. Could drink this all day.

Amber colour. A bit orange. Very slightly cloudy. Tastes like smoked hops and leaves a taste at the back of the throat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Very pleasant fruitiness with hops in the back ground. Far better than I expected. In fact I couldn’t believe that it came from Marstons. Well done them.

Bottle from Tesco Bradford. Pours pale gold and fizzy. Light bodied and refreshing, Belgian yeast and fresh herbal flavours, a little like a watered down Leffe Blond, lingering finish, slips down very nicely. Interesting but not great, not bad for an own brand.

Cask at The Grovesnor. Pours clear as a bell, pale gold, foamy white head. Texture has some spritz. Light spice on the aroma, malt too. Taste has a chalky bite behind the muted saison characteristics. Interesting, but still a very British beer.

On cash at the Grosvenor. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - a little of the expected spice some tangy fruit and pale malt. Taste - oranges and some spice but really it’s more fruity and malt. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish the is a little astringent. Overall - not a Saison from my experience of the style but decent.

Bottle from Tesco, Watford. Poured a clear golden, with a halo of white head. Malty aroma, with some wheat and soft fruit. Grassy hop flavours, with some mango and chewy grain. Finish was dry grains, peach and a flowery edge.
