3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml Bottle. This pours a clear amber with a medium white head that lasts the distance. Its aroma is yeast, and citrus. its taste is citrusy with hints of caramel and a slightly smokey dry bitter finish that you get with Belgian yeasts. And thats a key point missed by the naming of this beer. Its a BELGAIN SAISON.. and quite frankly the best Belgian Saison Ive tasted so far outside of Belgium!

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Clear golden color with white foam. Aromas on the weak side of hops and hints of caramel in a way bit acidic. Palate, light, bit watery, with bit of carbonation present more than usual, has medium bitter/dry finish. Taste, Malty, with hint of hops and mainly dry aftertaste, very simple and weak. Overall would I say it is a nice beer? Maybe. Is it a nice Saison? No.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml Bottle from Tesco, Gilesgate, Durham.
Pinkish orange in colour with lots of bubbles but no real head retention. Nose is sweet, malty and banana estery. Flavours similar with sweet malt are prominent, with some cereal, bubblegum, peach, caramel and malted milk biscuit. Finish is somewhat dry but overall its too sweet for my liking although not an inherently bad beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Tesco, drunk at home. Light to medium gold with a fine white head. Honey, yeast, coriander, chilli and hints of leather in the nose. Bittersweet and spicy taste, with a dry and slightly acrid aftertaste. Very warming for its strength. This feels more English than Belgian but it’s still drinkable, just not overexciting. The spicy note is nice though.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sweet taste, slightly syrupy palate. Pale colour, though not unappealing. A little sickly - doesn’t stand up to repeated drinking.
