Keg draught at the Durham Ox, Northallerton. This was surprisingly good. Amber body with a thin white head. Nose is hops, citrus, tangerines. Tangy taste. Dry finish. Pretty good for a mainstream "smooth" beer.

On tap at the Oval, watching all two deliveries of a rain-afflicted England-NZ T20 match with Gurney. Pretty average beer, mostly cold and wet nitrokegged crapness, there is a vague hint of some fruity hop in the finish but overall I wasnít a fan.

Smooth crisp golden ale with a thick creamy head on it. Has a fruity pale ale aroma and some of this is carried through in its taste.

Clear golden yellow with thick smooth foam head, lips ticking and making drinking rings to glass. Aroma is nice bitter hops, so is taste. A damn good beer, in particular ad I was thirsty. Short bitter aftertaste. (Humberside 201212)

I do confess to rather liking the swirly appearance of nitro-keg bitters as they settle. Thatís the only positive to be said about this beer, which I only drunk as it was the free beer option with my burger. Should have had Fosters instead of this typically watery, flavourless beer, and thatís not a compliment of Fosters. Utterly typical of nitro keg bitter, ie a bland, cold, nothingness.

Keg at the British Legion, Oldbury. Poured yellow gold with a medium head. Aroma was honey and pale malt. Taste started with honey and had a dusty, creamy malt finish. Quite drinkable for a smooth.
