COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg: Regular.
Marston’s Smooth has all the easy drinking qualities you would expect from a smooth beer, with some extra - a truly distinctive and full flavoured taste. As with all our beers it is crafted with the finest ingredients. Prize winning barley delivers its full and malty flavour and our use of traditional English Golding and Fuggle Hops combine to create the clean, bitter taste. The late addition of American Cascade Hops delivers its enticing aroma and moreish citrus finish. Marston’s Smooth is a smooth beer with an ABV of 3.6%. You will find it available of draught nitrokeg in select pubs nationwide (UK).

Can with a widget. Massive chemical head on opening which took an etenity to dissolve. Slightly bitter with some taste if you reallty tried hard to find it.Thin and bland.Didn’t expect a lot from this and I wasn’t dissapointed. Recycling the can is a positive move for a sad beer.

I do confess to rather liking the swirly appearance of nitro-keg bitters as they settle. That’s the only positive to be said about this beer, which I only drunk as it was the free beer option with my burger. Should have had Fosters instead of this typically watery, flavourless beer, and that’s not a compliment of Fosters. Utterly typical of nitro keg bitter, ie a bland, cold, nothingness.

Keg at the British Legion, Oldbury. Poured yellow gold with a medium head. Aroma was honey and pale malt. Taste started with honey and had a dusty, creamy malt finish. Quite drinkable for a smooth.

Keg at the Hyde United FC clubhouse. Absolutely appalling beer. Boring in appearance, and has all the flavour of a flatpack Argos wardrobe. Crap malt, rubbish fizziness. Holding this in my mit and having to swig it, in company, made me feel like a drunken yuppie, standing behind someone else’s girlfriend and gesturing to put my tongue in her ear, perhaps accompanied by an ’air grab’ of an imaginary pair of charlies. Phwoaar. Mortifying. A more than worthy 2,000th rate {unless I’m very much mistaken}.

On Tap at Northwich Victoria FC Marstons Arena, Wincham 08/11/2009 Some malt aroma. Thick white head. Golden coloured smooth on the palate and a little hoppy with a crisp and slightly dry malt finish. A memorable day for the Conference North side as they caused a shock beating Charlton Athletic of League One by a 1-0 scoreline in the FA Cup First Round.

can 50cl, from supermarket in magaluf, spain. quite faint aroma i think it has sweet notes. golden colour small thick vanilla colored foam. sweet (vanilla / sugar / faint corn. nice sweet) dominates. almost no bitterness, however a little bitter in the aftertaste. nice brew, but quite sweet. good sessio beer if you are into the sweet ones.

Nitro Keg at The Pepper Pot, Banbury. Murky brown with forced head. Typical pasteurised nitro beer, full of nothing, just cold and malted. Poor stuff.

Can, with nitro capsule. Golden color. Just a hint of apple in the aroma. Mediium bodied. Malty flavor with some flowery hops and cake dough. Butterscotch. Surprisingly drinkable.

Tap at the woodmans. Nitro keg at about -40*. Its inoffensive in that theres nothing to taste, but the nitro character is outstanding. Who knows how they managed to get such a thick head on it and how they managed to serve it below 0* without the line freezing?
