Botella de 500ml. Vaso de Pinta. Color cobre brillante y apariencia cristalina. 500ml bottle. Pint glass. Bright copper color, clear appearance. Off-white foam, creamy & slowly dissipated crown. Grass & slight sulfur aromas, hints of diacetyl & solvent-like notes. Malty, grainy & light resinous flavors rounded by increasing bitter & subtle spicy sensations. Medium body. Moderate but sparkling mouthfeel. Dense. Dried hoppiness & slight sweet maltiness resolves in a dry bitter finish. Green apple harshness & metallic hues on the aftertaste.

Copper with a fast settling head, honey, caramel and a little citrus hop on the nose, warming and mid to full bodied with a peppery hop edge, and touches of marmalade and honey. Dry-bitter finish with a little caramel persisting.

This was a pretty seductive strong ale and yes (as it said on the label), was smooth and remarkably easy drinking. The aroma was sweet and estery with detectable malt and hop. The flavour was similar, again with a combination of the esters dominating - isoamyl acetate, ethyl hexanoate, ethyl butyrate. Although initially quite sweet, it is quickly followed up with a nice bitterness. There was a very slight metallic note on the after-palate.

Pours just lighter than copper. Thin head dissipates quickly. Aroma is malt, citrus zest and old sock. Tastes of English malt, some caramel and a bit of bitter orange. The body is light for the abv. Finishes sweet and very clean. Nothing wrong but nothing remarkable about it either.

Bottle - pours copper with a light brown head which barely has chance to form and lasts seconds before disappearing to nothing. Aroma of cereal, banana, toast and a bit of corn. Taste of caramel, roasted malt, cereal, sweet malts, some artificial orange flavour and a medium bitter finish.Slight spiciness, a bit of smoke, some light hop flavours and very sweet. Some alcohol starts to permeate towards the end too. Medium body, medium to strong carbonation, a bit sticky. I usually trust Marston’s to be pretty good, shame about this.

A mid amber orange coloured beer with a very weak head. A light, dusty malt aroma and some raisiny fruit in the background. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a smooth, slightly sweet malt flavour, along with a raisiny fruit flavour again. This is followed by a tangy, pithy fruit flavour, that initially is quite harsh, but soon mellows, leaving a vinous, piney flavour that lasts into the finish.

500ml bottle from B&M. To be honest This just tastes sweet and bland. Not Marstons best, but this might be one of their worst.
