A mid amber brown beer with a frothy white head. The nose is clean, almost metallic, with a hint of citrus fruit and hop, The taste is bitter, but full bodied. Along with the citrus fruits and hops, there is a mild spiciness to the background flavour. The aftertaste is a lingering bitterness. (Bottle [though not bottle-conditioned] - Morrisons).

Good enough bitter, commemorating us winning the rugby in 2003, what a good year that was, i remember being in a crowded pub watching the game and sipping this beer, good good beer, pedi is better tho. I noticed this in a shop not long after and thought, awesome, all of our rugby pride in a bottle.

99p to clear Morrisons Derby(even though the commercial description says it’s exclusive to Sainsburys). Gold in colour with a good lasting white head. smooth and malty...that’s about it really, little in the way of character..average on all counts.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 leaparsons (6335) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2005
Bottled. Amber with an off-white head. Aromas are caramel malts and spicy hops. Flavours are toffee and biscuit malts with sweet caramel. All followed by lots of dry, bitter hops. Dry on the aftertaste. Not bad for a Martsons bottled beer.

Standard caramel ale appearance with an intense bitter caramel aroma, and a dry bitter caramel flavour. Overall a plain dry caramel beer.

It has that trademark Marstons tang-hard to describe but very unique.Quite dry with a mixture of lingering tastes.Bet it wouldn't sell very well in Australia.
