3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 imdownthepub (7494) - Banbury, - DEC 27, 2003
Cask Conditioned at The Red Lion, Little Haywood, Derbys. Orange brown colou with lasting head. It's been around for a while this one, not brewed just fot the World Cup. Malty caramel flavours, full with an overlaid bitter hop flavour. Perhaps overly complex, but then so was some of the refereeing.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 berkshirejohn (3020) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 29, 2012
Cask at the Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. Copper with a thin cream head; sulphorous aroma; boring sweet biscuity malt flavour; then a biscuity finish with some shortlasting hops. A boringly ordinary beer.
1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 wimpyjoe (496) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2012
Next to no aroma, and as bland and tasteless as you like. Poor effort from Marstons.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2012
Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Deep gold amber colour. Lasting cream head. Wow what a dull bitter some tingle on tongue on end. Not much aroma not much flavour, vague Burton snatch i guess. Just watery and not great.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 shoulderbroken (587) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 14, 2011
Gravity at Bree Louise. Dark golden brown colour, no head whatsoever. Smells very sugarry and a bit wheaty. Tastes a bit like very sugarry tea, or maybe even a Faro. Quiet slick in the mouth. Pint got a bit sickly, half might have been better. Couldn’t get any kind of fruits which is a bit strange.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2011
Gravity cask at the Bree Louise. Pours clear auburn with a fading film. Has a very weak aroma with faint, sugary fruits. Flavor was a little odd at first but has grown on me. Lots of whole grain toast, nuts and light fruits provide a nice sweetness, while leaves and subtle earth give light bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty dry on the finish with some bready sugars and dried fruits. Decent.

Cask at the Bridge, Kingswinford. Pours dark amber with a medium head. Aroma is slightly spicy apple. Taste is some fruitcake to start. Warming slightly spicy malt finish. Damn good beer for Marstons.

Cask gravity @ Bree Louise NW1. Pours a clear copper color with a very small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 weaselkenievil (1093) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2009
Fairly standard ESB but nice enough. Copper gold with thick slightly off white head. Usual toffee / caramel notes with a nice amount of bitterness. Thick mouthfeel. Not bad.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a white head. A bit lively. Feels like a bottled beer. Thin hairy malt aroma. Pleasant earthy malt taste with sweet fruity background. Slight bitterness. Not bad.
