1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 DeanF (1489) - Iqaluit, - JAN 15, 2010
Can poured into a tulip glass. Okay yellow, some small head on top, typical lager look. Smells of alcohol and syrup, slight hint of fruity notes if you really get deep in there. Taste is a harsh syrup that leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Harsh carbonation. Tough to suck down. Blecch.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jaghana (2110) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - OCT 29, 2010
Can 50cl @ auchan. A clear light amber beer with medium head. Aroma is malty, not too sweet, with correct hops specially at the finish, better than expected specially for the cheap price, the beer remains drinkable and it’s not too alcoholic. So aroma is basic but ok we don’t have the over sugary syrup flavor we have in some other strong lagers.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 boto (1581) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - APR 15, 2010
500ml can: Picked this up in an Auchan. This one pours a crystal clear pale yellow color. There was a frothy white head on it that dropped off rather quickly. Aroma? For a 7% beer There was a surprisingly lack of an aroma. Very faint malts, corn and floral hops. At least it wasn’t a bad smell. Lack of flavor for a 7% also. What was there was fairly light in body. Faint alcohol to the taste. The remaining was kind of grainy and harsh. Pretty much a drain pour. The younger folk must like this for the price and ABV.

Can. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and a bit of hay, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
