COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The recipe for this beer was designed by 6 brewmasters from N.H.'s brewpubs. Our interpretation is a dark ale with lots of roasted malt and toffee, balanced by hop aromatics and a subtle bite. Look for other version at brewpubs around the state!

Hazy brown with tiny off white. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hoppy notes. Sweet flavor with caramel roasted malt and hops that gives it a bitter end.

Cask (gravity) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.
Clear light to medium brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (060808)

On tap at Marthas, served in a pint glass. Beer is a murky, cloudy brown color with a 1/2" off white head. Sturdy lacing rings the glass. Nose is sort of sweet with caramel notes as well as malts and floral hops. Taste is the same characteristics as nose with a hoppy finish. Could have used a little more body.

Cask at GBBF 08. Very dark brown, ruby, thin beige head. Good dry malt aroma. It’s a bit like a best bitter/ESB really. Fine, body lacks a bit, but OK.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate, toffee and cola. Malty, nutty taste with chocolate and dried fruit. Slightly roasted with a nutty malt sweetnees throughout. Decent but hardly exciting.

on tap-pours a patchy tan head that laces with cloudy brown/orange color. Aroma is sweet dark malt-bitter chocolate. Taste is sweet dark malt-chocolate/caramel/nutty, English earthy hops bite. OK carbonation.

A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF.
Amber with a slight haze. Dull earthy malt with faint notes of toffee and hazelnut and some slight grassy hops in the finish. Rather thin in the mouth. Inoffensive, just rather boring.
