Tap at the brewpub. Pours a nice medium copper with a thick nice head and great lace. Aroma toasty with fresh deep Munich malts, and Vienna bready, with hints of chocolate, leather, earth and fresh continental hops- almost flowery. Toasty big malts in the flavor, Vienna, Munich, and bready, light cereal character to cut it a bit and thin it out for easy drinking, smooth medium body, very clean and crisp in the finish- seemed a bit more like a marzen or o-fest, but still awesome. I think we got a growler to drink at the campsite later that night. Great stuff!

Pours a clear amber color with a thin white head. Nice aroma of toasted malt and hops. Good flavor of toasted malt, hops and some sweetness. The body is light with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. This dunkel pleased and surprised me a lot.

20080730 Tap at brewpub. Nice and fresh beer in a nice, fresh place. Attractive amber color with small lasting beige head. Creamy palate with surprisingly brisk finishing bite. Pretzely malts and hints of black pepper. I could drink gallons of this winner.

Cask at GBBF08. Almost clear amber colour. Small stable frothy head. No aroma, but the flavour is OK. Good malt body with some grassy hops, slightly biting. A little dust in the finish along with a clean bitterness.

A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF.
Amber brown with a thin but stable off white head. Really pleasant fruity malt, slightly grassy and very floral hops. Slightly roasted character being about the only thing pulling it in to dunkel territory. Decent hoppy finish.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Deep golden colour. Strong aroma of fruity American hops, some oaky and winey notes too. Reasonably hoppy flavour, nice beer.
