In short: A sweet and spiced banana cake in a pint. Just ok.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy dark orange topped by a beige ring of foam
In long: Nose of banana cake, coriander and cloves. Taste is sweet, lots of cake malts, banana cake, marmalade, cloves. No hops presence. Really tasted like a cake, even the full chewy mouthfeel was like a cake. This is not a bad beer at all but it was a bit too sweet and straightforward. One glass was more than enough. The last of five pints I had there. It’s a good thing my girlfriend was driving thus allowing me to down many pings. I can easily make my girlfriend do anything she wants to do.

(Rating #3154)

On tap at the brewpub and brought home a growler. Pours a light mahogany with a thin off white head. Light banana and clove aroma backed with a malty sweetness. Full, sticky palate with low carbonation. The description on the menu at Martha’s says " Reminiscent of Bananas on toast with a clove marmalade". I really can’t say it any better. This was delicious.
