COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied and deceptively smooth. A bit drier than some other scotch ales out there. Aroma of caramel and a hint of smoke. No hop bite or flavor. Quite a mouthful.

On tap at the source. In a snifter comes a dark brown elixir with an impish off white head that shows remarkable staying power. Rich sweet burnt caramel and brown sugars with hints of smoke and dark dried fruits. Medium to thick body with a light carbonation. Very nice after dinner sipper. The board at the bar had this at 9%

Growler sample shared by jcwattsrugger on the RBWG drinking bus. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin layer of film. The aroma and flavor have caramel malts, toffee, some fig like fruitiness, a slight peat note with some earth. Perhaps a touch thin for the style and it didn’t seem to come together for me.

Growler shared by jcwattsrugger on the RBWG bus. Thanks again, John! Pours a hazy tea color with some loose bubbles for a head. Notes of caramel, leaves, earth, mild peat, booze, and metal. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, boozy mouthfeel and low carbonation. Kind of missed the mark.

Tasted during RBWG, thanks to JCwattsruger for sharing this 64oz growler. Mildly hazy darker amber color. Thin off-white head. Good dots of lace. Very smooth, lightly creamy texture. Lighter carbonation. Finishes lightly dry. Good tropical fruity hop notes. Lighter caramel, lightly toasty malt. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Light hint of metallic. Solid, smooth, easy drinking scotch ale.

Growler on the RBWG bus, thanks! Pours a near clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains with a bit of earthiness and toffee. Flavor has a nice swee grain and toffee combination with a hint of caramel.

Growler shared on the RBWG bus tour (LaZoom!). Very malt heavy, slight peat presence, and little nutty flavor too. There’s some light cherry notes in the background that makes it a little different. Not bad overall.
