3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft @ Martha’s in a tall 18 oz. Weizen glass. Hazy amber color without much head or lace. Carbonation is low. Caramel malt and a light fruit aroma that I would call apricot or peach. Flavor is exactly as it tastes. Lighter in body. Simple and straight forward. It’s a one instrument band, but that one instrument is pretty decent. I had no problem drinking down the tall glass

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the source,
Pours a hazy deep amber bordering on brown with a smallish off white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aromas of caramel and toffee maltiness with a solid hit of earthy spicy hops to counter. The flavor is sweet with brown sugar caramel and toffee offset with an earthy resinous hop flavor.
Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Really nice amber/brown ale with a great rich maltiness and a really solid hop presence.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Part of an 8 beer sampler at the restaurant. Enjoyed the restaurant and all the beers I tasted were good though nothing really stood out. Found the amber to be quite drinkable but a bit on the boring side.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
5 oz sampler at the brewpub in the company of ClarkVV GeuezeLord. Dark hazy to near-opaque amber with a sustained off-white head....fruity, lightly smoky nose, good fresh malt presence, touch of cherry and dry apple....lots of floral hoppiness in the mouth, turns dry-woody/resinous in midpalate and becomes rather bitter towards the end, but toasty malts carry the day. One of the better beers I’ve had at Marthas-- an amber, who would’ve thought?

Cask@GBBF04’. Watery mouthfeel, slightly grainy. Tea like hops, with a lemony tang, thinnnish body, with some raw alcohol in the finish. Not very interesting.
