Taste is classic hefeweizen with nutmeg and subtle pumpkin in the finish. Vanilla becomes noticeable as it warms. Medium in body with a creamy feel in the mouth. An interesting take on a Hefe. Nice.

Included in an sampler of 8 brews. Wasn’t thrilled with most of the samples this visit and this was one of the dissappointing ones.

On tap, October 2009. Take one spicy wheat beer, with lots of clove and vanilla. Add in some more spices - cinnamon and nutmeg (admittedly not too dominant). Not a winning combination for me. I found it too spiced and too sweet for my taste. As I’m no big fan of German Weizen or Pumpkin beers it was never likely to be a winner for me. Each to his own. Interesting idea, but just not my thing.

On tap at Martha’s. Pours a hazy amber/yellow/gold color with a 1/2" off white head that receded to thin rings of lace. Aroma was mild clove, pumpkin, wheat and banana. Moderate in body with mild carbonation. Taste mimics the nose. I thought this would be an interesting brew and it was, sort of. It has an interesting mix of flavor, just not enough.

on tap-pours a thin retaining off white head and cloudy gold/amber color. Aroma is nice rich creamy banana, some clove, wheat/light malt. Taste is nice rich creamy banana, some clove/spice, pumpkin, wheat/light malt, some earthy/spice hops. Mild carbonation.
