An inviting, 5% a.b.v. ale that we call a breakfast beer. Modeled after a bowl of cereal,itís made with barley, wheat, oats and rye, and is finished with honey. The hop character in this beer is subtle and lends hints of black currant and mint. We ferment this beer very dry and add milk sugar to create a delicate and unique sweetness. The large quantities of honey and specialty grains enable this lower-alcohol refresher to provide a unique taste thatís like a sunrise in your mouth.

Pours hazy copper with a large off-white head. Smells of sweet grains and subtle hint of honey. Taste is sweetness, grain, kiss of honey. Light-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Martin House Day Break finishes with a lingering sweetness.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a small white head that dissipated very quickly leaving no lacing. The aroma is honey, oats, and sweetness. The aroma wasnít all that special but it is quite extraordinary in the flavor. In the taste, I pick up the honey, the sweetness from the milk sugar, oats, and some hops mixed in there as well. This beer is quite complex.

First beer from this new company.. Day Break is billed as a breakfast beer modeled after a bowl of cereal. Aromas of honey, wheat, some nuts, and i can smell the sweetness from the milk, and a touch of booze, not too bad. Body is a orange/ yellow body, kinda hazy the cap reduced down and is leaving some spotty lace. Flavors of malts, nuts, cereal, the sweetness nor the honey really come through. Overall its a nice enough sipper, yeah i would try it again.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2015 Pour: hazy, golden yellow w/ a med head. Lots of carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass. Smell: white bread, grains, floral hops, rye, light citrus. Taste: A lot different than the smell - oats, rye, light hops, light malt, honey & faint alcohol. smooth, creamy, sweet, semi-dry finish. A unique brew - I think itís done right. :)

I have a massive sweet tooth, so I enjoyed the cream soda-like flavor. Visually, it's a beautiful beer. Haha. I think the makers did what they wanted to do. It will taste good one morning in New Orleans, when I'm trying not to remember the night before... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden brew with decent head that hangs on. Smells of grains, bread, a bit like honey nut cherios. Taste is slightly sweet but well balanced out. Smooth and easy to drink and does seem to hit the spot for breakfast. Yes I did have the 4 pack for breakfast! Afterall it is a breakfast brew as the can said. After the 4th one I was not hungry any more and ready for the day so Yep this is a good brew and hope to grab another 4 pack before the lame distributors in our area quit getting it.

>> Pours a clear golden with lower soda white foam. Weak retention. Macro lager look. Nose is sweet grain, corn, mildew, old fruit, sticky. Taste is watery, corn, grainy, paper, sugar, small butter, soap. Eh. Itís similar to PBR and the likes. Heavy adjunct character.

Nice and different. It was designed with cereal in mind to create a unique beer. Pretty good taste of grain and light refreshing taste and mouthfeel. Gets a lil sweet and kinda changes on the tongue. Overall well made and different than normal.
