A Texas Saison Ale.
The River House is a pale colored and sessionable beer at about 5% abv. We created this beer to satisfy the thirst of both aficionados and novices. The River House Saison is something refreshing and easy drinking, but with an exciting and fascinating flavor. A special yeast blend created by Martin House gives this beer hints pepper and earthiness. Plenty of flavor and aroma hops yield a floral and citrusy essence.

On tap at BTBF. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are grassy and grainy with medium strong esters (isoamyl acetate a bit strong among those), dry sage, black pepper, lightly leathery. Flavors are dry, fusel alcohol, peppery, a bit of harsh esters. Feels like it is missing a malt back bone (not sweetness, just something else as right now it is watery and a bit thin with some stressed yeast notes). Thin bodied with lively carbonation.

16oz can 11/28/15 (Spec’s Wine-Addison)-Pours a murky orangish yellow with a small head. Aroma of spices, wheat, and pepper. Taste of the same with some lemon and citrus as well. This light bodied brew is not too shabby.

Canned, no clear date. Pours pale straw, big Ol white head. Aroma is straw, lemon, light clove, but not much going on. Flavor is better. Lemon, clove, more prominent . Not bad. But oh yea, I don’t like saisons that much.

Pours a very hazy yellowish gold with thick chunks of sediment floating around. The head is about one finger and white that left some lacing. The aroma is pepper, lemon, spices, and some citrus. The taste is more of the same.

Can at home. Pours a very hazy yellow with a huge foamy white head. Aroma is yeasty peppery lemony and wheaty. Flavor follows with earthy grassy notes. Lighter bodied and very smooth. Finishes dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Aroma is a light saison. Appearance is a hazy gold with a lot of carbonation and some lacing. Taste is a muted saison. I am not very fond of saisons so this one is nice since the flavor is not over the top palate is saison yeast. Overall, a decent beer. Would buy for on the river, seems rephreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours light gold with a foamy white head that quickly fades to a thin cap. Smells like a meadow. Taste is similar with a bit of black pepper on the finish.
