Sugar & Spice is our winter warmer – and at 12% ABV it really does the trick. This enormous ale has a simple malt bill, but is brewed with liberal portions of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, and the secret ingredient: piloncillo, an unrefined Mexican brown sugar

Aroma is full of spice, cranberry, and apple. Murky ruby appearance. Apple cider initial taste. Many spices are noticeable, perhaps too much. Nutmeg, peppermint, ginger. The aftertaste is pleasant however the palate is overloaded with at first. Overall a good winter beer if you enjoy spices. Alcohol is not too overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Pours a nice brown color with off-white head. Sweet notes, spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove are most present, some vanilla as well on the nose; follows onto the palate.

On tap at Flying Saucer Ft. Worth. Pours a clear orangish amber with a grayish head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of spice with notes of cinnamon and brown sugar backed by sweet grains. Flavor is similar with sweet grains and brown sugar with hints of cinnamon and caramel.

Poured a medium garnet with no head but good lacing. Boozy nose. Very clean maltiness in the mouth. Very, very nice.

Tap at jack macs. The look is reddish on color, off white ok head, and a slight haze. The smell is gingerbread cookies, orange, sweet, barf, tang, and grapefruit peel. The taste is sugar and spice. Cinnamon, gingerbread, dessert, winter things. Too sweet, brown sugary.

Slightly cloudy copper with a lot of holiday aromas goin on: poinsettia, cinnamon, cardamom, apple skin, and something lightly bactillic. The flavor has a ton of apple and apple skin, some cherry, cinnamon, cardamom, green tea, cherry, and something like watery whiskey. Decent, but feels a little disjointed.

On tap at LUCK. Ruddy red brew with a slight tan head. Nose is alcohol, spices, dark fruit. Tons of spices in the flavor which, along with the high ABV, add a nice warming touch. Pretty solid winter seasonal from a very young brewery.

Deep mahogany pour with a nice beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, spices, and booze. Taste is the same with a metallic note. Alcohol is fairly prevalent. Spice aftertaste. Slick palate.

On tap at the Fillmore. Reddish-brown pour with a tan head. The aromahas some alcohol and dark fruit notes. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of cherry and brown sugar as well as some caramel and cinnamon. The alcohol is fairly noticeable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
