Draught, at The Rover (040616). Pale yellow with a large off-white head, mostly lasting, good lacings. Aroma moderate malty (coriander, citrus, spicy) light hoppy and yeasty. Flavour moderate sweet and light bitter/acidic. Light body, watery, lively carbonateed. A fine hefeweizen.

On Tap. Yellow unclear colour with a impressive white creamy head. Nice aroma of wheat, banana and yeast. Great tasteful wheat beer, with flavour of wheat and fresh fruit.

Very blonde. Looks more Belgian than German to me. Flavourvise it is actually in between the two. Quite sweet, lots of herbs and banana. Slightly thin bod. Refreshing and clean.

ChristianSA (368) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 7, 2005
Bottle, labeled "Hefe-Weissbier", but I’ll guess it is the same. Good fruity, slightly sweet, aroma. Sweet, grainy flavor with the wheat dominant. Head collapses to a 3 mm compact layer after 3-4 minutes. Standard weissbier carbonation. Overall a very enjoyable weissbier both on bottle and tap.

Papsoe (25085) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 27, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Pale golden with a huge head and a heavy carbonation. Very dry and fresh but it lacks the more subtle and refined fruity notes you find in the best Hefes. 230800

(RBESG05, draft at Den Tatorverede Enke) Big white head with a hazy straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, some banana. Taste is mild sweet, wheat, light banana. Light-medium body, minimal acidity.

Draught @ Den Tatoverede Enke, Cph: Pale yellow coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Smoky, bananadense, yeasty and light spiced aroma. Flavour is a totally letdown after that aroma. Is light watery and light spiced. With some archaeological skills you might find some citric and yeasty notes, but they are vague. Fruity in the end, but dies rather quickly.

pilsnerrogge (2503) - Finspång, SWEDEN - MAY 29, 2005
Pale, somewhat hazy yellow colour. Typical huge weissbier-head. Light banana-aroma with notes of yeast. Sourish citrus-flavour with notes of cloves and yeast. Thin and watery.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2005
Bottle. The colour is yellow-orange; the liquid is cloudy. The large head is white and compact.

The smell is fruity with a notorious sour note of wheat bread and sweet apples.

The taste is very fresh, with just the right body – not watery, nor overwhelming. The first earthy note is replaced by a sour fresh flavour that develops into a sweet note of sour apples and even some white loaf. The aftertaste got a long creamy and balanced taste of dry apples and even some pineapples.

The carbonation is good vith a lot of small bubbles.

Overall, this is a fine Weissbier!
