3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[on tap at brewery, "Bernstein Farbener Rauchbier">
Pils-like aroma: citrusy German, noble hops with some biscuity toffee. Hazy, orange-amber, with a lasting, dense, off-white cover. Smooth biscuity malt flavour with obvious noble hops that develops into a gentle rauch malt smokiness. Very gentle smoked ham with brown sugar. Medium body, medium carbonation, smokey caramely finish.
