2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33 cl bottle, simply called "Martinís Pale Ale", now available in Norway. ABV is 5.8%. Website www.anthonymartin.be Deep golden nearly orange colour. Large head. Aroma of sweet malts, molasses and rotting fruits, hints of spices and leather. Flavour is well hopped, but unfortunately there is an everpresent molasses and dark syrup sweetness in the background, making the beer too cloying to be something Iíll buy again when I have finished my 4 bottles.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Coppery color, little white head. Floral aroma with some citrus, rich aroma indeed. Flavor has some roasted tones and chocolate, fruity sweet end with very dry hops. Hops make flavor to be somehow spicy. Dry spicyness lasts in aftertaste. Medium bodied.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, in a cafť in Brugge, Belgium.
A classic pale ale. Crystal clear brown with a smooth silky mouth feel. The enjoyment of this beer is derived mainly from satin mouth feel rather then from original or complex flavours.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rich malty nose, sweet, with nice hoppy aroma, hop oil, light citrus-grapefruit. Refreshing to have this aroma after so many Belgian ales. Medium-dark amber clear with foamy white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium-light carbonation. Starts with mild acidity, light sweetness, and good hop notes. Caramel malts, some saltiness, but balanced with medium bitter hops, fruity. Overall, a pretty smooth pale ale. Easy drinkiní. Nutty sweet after, and just a little bitterness.
