Clear pale body with no head at all. Aroma is high on malty, hay. Taste has sugary sweetness upfront with higher very grassy, almost like hop cones, bitterness. Body is full, oily, high carbonation.

Pours a clear golden with a weak white head that falls back into a small rim that doesn’t leave much lacing. Nose is quite English indeed with some earthy and floral hops over a light caramel base. Taste is indeed a little sweet and surprisingly not belgian at all in character, pretty straightforward English pale ale. Bitterness is low and maybe even lacking so it feels a little unbalanced. Caramel and bread notes mostly. Body is medium, carbonation downright aggressive. Not bad but definitely not overly interesting.

Bottle 330ml. [5,8%] Pours dark golden with medium-high creamy light beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is of sugar, malt, flowers, honey. Taste is of malt, sugar (really sugar, like candi?), honey, caramel, citrus, bitterness, flowers. Palate: Medium body. Slight sticky mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Overall: Why put sugar in there? Too sweet. Not really refreshing. Subpar balance. No other major flaw.

Jarastlad (19) - Arlon, BELGIUM - APR 17, 2014
Mousse à bonne tenue, fine bulles. Bullage très important. Couleur orange/cuivre. Nez caramélisé et fruité, légèrement floral. C’est le sucre qui marque l’attaque, suivi de caramel et une légère note florale. Ce n’est pas une mauvaise bière, mais pas ma préférée pour autant. Bien trop sucrée à mon goût.

from draft Clear copper colour, white foam. Filtered??? nose is caramel, hops, herbs, grains. Palate is light and not so soft, grains, herbs, flowers, caramel, a strange note of red fruits or maybe juniper berries.

Clear orange body and scarce head. Nose is sweet with floral and fruity notes. Taste is sweet with some bitterness on the finish. Carbonation is soft and the palate medium. A little overly sweet and perfumey.

On tap, 5.8%. Orange color, clear, average white head. aroma is mostly honey with grains and a proper hops smack. Fairly bitter taste, dry finish. Nicely hoppy and pretty good, simple pale ale pretty quaffable.
