33cl bottle. Pours a brown wood, clear with eggshell small head. Nose : cherry, plums, caramelized malts. Smoked and whisky notes. Sip : Oily with a small carbonation. Little sweet followed by coffee bitterness which I find amusing since it’s a pale beer. Caramel and dried fruits are still present. Honestly it’s a surprising beer. From taste I would say it’s more of a typical brown brown.

Bottle. Dark golden - orange, cloudy, very small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and caramel sweet aroma, fruitiness and some hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweet flavor, lots of fruitiness, caramel and some hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, very fruity with some hoppyness, caramel. Caramel sweetish strong ale- sweetness subdues totally the bitterness.

33 cl bottle @ some restaurant in Brussels. Rated on 13.4.2009
Aroma has sweetish malt with caramel. Flavour has caramel with hints of salt. I was hoping a good pale ale to get a pause from all of those Belgian ales – but this appeared to be rather far from a pale ale. And had even some elements from a Belgian Ale...
