Bottle 330 ml at Cafe Samson, Nijmegen. Poured into a Martin’s glass. ABV 5.8% Deep golden orange colour, crystal clear body. One finger of white head sitting on top, good thick density and average retention. Medium thick lacing left on the glass. Aroma has lots of malts on it, then some grass is coming from the back. Taste also with lots of malts, some little caramel, very sweet, at least at first, nicely hopped to my surprise. Light bitterness on the aftertaste that seems to increase in strength and with a good duration. Medium body, good carbonation. Overall okay, nothing to write home about but nothing offensive either.

Appearance with amber color and low foam. Aroma of toasted malt (caramel) and herbal hops. Very sweet taste that prevails in contrast to the hops. The 5.8% alcohol is barely noticeable. A good Pale Ale.

Ambrée transparente, effervescence moyenne, mousse blanche tombe rapidement. Première chose qui saute au palais: la présence de maïs qui donne toujours un goût assez désagréable. Pour le reste, le sucre caramélisé se taille la part du lion. Suit une amertume houblonnée qui n’est pas du meilleur goût...
