COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who can ignore John Martinís ale that our ancestors called "the noblest of English Pale Ales". This unique beer of 6% ABV is the fruit of truly exceptional craftsmanship, a unique technique whereby authentic Kent hop-bells are added after brewing.

Someone tell me how this very English-looking beer ended up being brewed in Belgium? Nonetheless in spite of the red white and blue motif it pours reasonably attractive, head is there but not dense enough and dies down quick. On the nose is some rotten cabbage, grain and dough, scent of a non-alcohol seems to linger around it actually. The taste is something different, like a vegetable beer, slight grassiness but also some malts in there and all with a dry finish. Donít think it all comes together extremely well, though.

33cl bottle. Pours a brown wood, clear with eggshell small head. Nose : cherry, plums, caramelized malts. Smoked and whisky notes. Sip : Oily with a small carbonation. Little sweet followed by coffee bitterness which I find amusing since itís a pale beer. Caramel and dried fruits are still present. Honestly itís a surprising beer. From taste I would say itís more of a typical brown brown.

Pours out darker then expected. Even yellow-amberish coloured. Very big white head that holds very good. Donít looks bad at all. Sour fruits, citrus and also some spices and hops. Not bad, but smells a bit like some soda... Hoppy, bitter but also some soureness of the fruits at the taste. Drinks pretty easy, but more soda-like then I can handle for a beer... A bit sad, cause the taste on his own, and also the smell arenít bad.

Curiosamente soddisfacente._________ENGLISH TEXT HERE________Would you swear that John Martin made a pretty decent brew? This pale ale lacks of hops and would deserve more body, but anyway is a very pleasant experience: its sweetness is not synthetic, it evokes honey, cherries, red fruits and goes a little adstringent in the finale with a citrus note (the sourness is very low, instead). Curiously satisfying.

Bottle. Clear deep golden color with a medium thick foamy white head. Mild malty aroma with caramel. Sweet taste with medium bitter finish from English hops.

Bottle at a random bar in Antwerp. Last beer of the night. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of light fruits and light grass hops. Flavor follows with some malt and honey sweetness, a bit of light fruits, and not much else. Finishes a little dirty. Body is light but the maltiness of this comes off as too sweet. Medium carbonation. Meh. No thanks.

very good ale. Delicious hops. good color and a good white foamy head. Smoky bar Oldenburg in Madrid: no idea of the aroma.
