3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a fluffy, white head. Some sugary, bready malts in the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor, bready, with some sweet fruits, white sugar, fine straw. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, clean, sugary finish, with basic bready pale malts, mild bitterness, some sweet hay, toasted sugar, maple, floral hops and lightly toasted grass. An OK beer, though not particularly impressive.

Not bad, but a bit too sweet..........

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Mid red, small head. Fruity hops and honey aroma, quite pleasant. Touch of glue briefly, and a hint of alcohol later. Rich malty body, a touch sticky, but that makes it fuller. Sweet dark fruits too, nice burnt edge. Nice little bite of hops too. Wasnít expecting much from whatís in theory a a simple beer, but this was as good as many dubbels for its maltiness. Donít drink cold, certainly better at 15C-ish.

(bottle from a Belgian supermarket) Pale amber colour with firm white froth. Malty and orange peel (English marmalade) aroma. Dry flavour, medium bodied. The taste is initially slightly sweet, malty and full of liquorice and bitterhops in the finish. Very aromatic !

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head. and a touch of lace. The aroma is fruity and malty. The taste has sweet berry fruits but also a decent earthy hop feel. Quite suprisingly contrasted at times. Like an English Strong in many ways and certainly not typically Belgian.
