Clear, amber ale, with medium-low carbonation and creamy head. Light-bodied, and a little watery, but not unpleasantly so. Aroma of malts: caramel and bread. Flavour reveals a spicy hop, with grapefruit notes and pepper. Very drinkable!

Cask at GBBF 2010. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has light notes of citrus fruits and malt. The flavor is sweet malty. Boring.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Pint in a St Hellier boozer, Jersey. Served as ’Jersey Cream Ale’. Wasn’t until a couple of years later and meeting the brewers they confirmed this was Mary Ann. Sweet and creamy ale, good carbonation. Served cold. Best pint in Jersey!

A Mes rate: Cask at GBBF.
Golden brown with no head. Malt and hop balance pretty well in the aroma but it’s let down by some diacetyl. Nice malty flavour. I actually feel a little harsh with my numbers as the malt is pretty good but it just doesn’t do much else. Just about some hop presence in the finish but they’re pretty uneventful too.
