Mary Rose is a beer based on an English recipe, inspired by the legendary ship of the British royal fleet created by Henry VIII. It is remarkable that in this particular ship the quantities of beer consumed were huge. Only beer would do, English soldiers and sailors were not used to anything else. In fact without beer, they would refuse to work! Mary Rose is a refreshing red ale beer with a unique aroma and high quality ingredients.

330ml brown bottle labeled as Septem Thursday’s Premium Red Ale. Pours red brown, clear. A light swirl of whitish foam on top. Nose has citrus and floral hops and caramel malt. Taste has caramel malts with a bit of roasty and nutty hints. Mild finishing hops, light malty aftertaste. Overall a pleasant red ale.

Truly straightforward and a bit unexciting. The pour is bright amber with a soapy beige head. The nose is bright and malty with toasted caramel and light nutty aromas. A bit sweet in the mid palate with a light roasted malt, toffee, caramel and nut notes. Very mild mannered brew.

330ml bottle labeled as Thursday’s Premium Red Ale Beer pours a light amber color with a finger of white head that settles to leave some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild caramel and grass with a hint of citrus. Taste is a light citrus and grass hop bitterness with a caramel malt sweetness. A typical brew for the style. Nothing notable here.

Coloração âmbar escuro e espuma espessa. Seu aroma tem notas de frutas. O seu sabor começa amargo, mas é quebrado por caramelo e um que se trigo. Final com pouco amargor e leveza.

Light red clear-like body with a white thin head. Smells of fruit, cherry, maybe bread. Taste of the same with malt and notes of caramel. Citrus hops in the middle, bitter finish. Carbonation that bites - maybe a bit unbalanced.

As "Septem Thursday’s Premium Red Ale". Deep amber color, good beige head. Aroma is very bready with hints of caramel. Light to medium-bodied. Quite bready flavor too. Some caramalt. Harsh woody hoppyness in the aftertaste. Restless.

Bottle at home. Has a golden reddish brown colour with small, beige head. Fruity aroma, berries, hops, dried fruit, leather and a strange woodiness. A bit sweeter flavour with some caramel, roasted almonds in the end. A little weird bitterness in the end. Slick mouth feel, and a ligt bitterness. Decent and a light ale, but an odd flavour.
